Description
Driving West of Banff, Alberta, (Canada), you'll get to one of the most beloved mountains in the area, seen on the right. Castle Mountain (used to be Eisenhauer) is at the junction where you decide whether to go to Banff and Canmore, or Lake Louise (or back out to Radium or Invermere BC). Honestly, there's no wrong turn. All three are amazing places to end up.

Alexios Ntounas
Wonderful scenery!
Monte Arnold replied:
Thanks so much Alexios! You'd love this whole area...if you're coming over, drop me a note and I'll send you a list of the amazing spots there :)
Stephen Thomas
Excellent photo of the beautiful Castle Mountain! My favorite mountain in Banff NP.
Monte Arnold replied:
Thank you so much Stephen! It's my favorite too, and such a great park in there!
Sarah Irland
Breathtakingly beautiful, Monte!
Monte Arnold replied:
Thank you Sarah! This is on a 5 foot canvas and it's still my favor size to print, the detail of that area stops me every time I go through again 💯🤗🤗🤗👍
Kym Clarke
That really is a beautiful capture, amazing scenery and I adore the pines
Monte Arnold replied:
Thank you Kym! I haven't seen Perth yet, but I'd love to see what there is to photograph there too :)

I have been there before Monte. Banff and the Lake Louise area is one of Earth's true jewels. Built-in postcards views at every turn ...
Monte Arnold replied:
so true Seth. I'm glad you got to see the area before your health went south on you.

A fine image of an area I love, Monte. Years ago I climbed Mt Temple, the big mountain on the distant left. Btw, Castle Mountain was named Mt. Eisenhower and one of the towers still bears his name. ~Steve
Monte Arnold replied:
Thank you, Steve! I haven't done the climbing yet, but may just have to now :) I'd known about the name change, although haven't checked when that happened. The new name defines it better, considering that nothing really looks like an Eisenhower. I'm heading out there again next week, maybe I'll be able to do Mt. Temple justice for you :)
Sandi OReilly
Beautiful capture, congratulations on your sale.
Monte Arnold replied:
Sandi! Thank you so much :) I'm glad you like it...this is seriously my current favourite mountain...it's such a landmark and everyone loves seeing more of it. I hear North Carolina is a great place to shoot too, but I'll let you tell me what's good?

Congrats on the sale Monte .... Fantastic image!
Monte Arnold replied:
Thanks Seth! You're not far away from us at all - been up to Banff yet? I'm heading back home next week to shoot some more...should have some new work up from that area soon !
